Donald Trump Haters of the World Unite!

As I've explained in previous posts the issue with Donald Trump is not simply an issue of a policy disagreement-though his positions are far from innocuous.

He's been allowed to somehow poise as a friend of the working man while declaring that wages are too high. Nothing he has said subsequently convinces me otherwise. Certainly not like when he said that he wants to end the federal minimum wage.

But again, it's about more than policy. Scott Sumner says that he would not support Trump if he were for NGDP. This is the right way to see it.

"What frightens elites of all ideological stripes about Donald Trump, more than any particular policy position he’s adopted or flirted with, is his brazen contempt for checks on political power."

For me, right now, it's about all those out there of whatever ideological stripe who understand just what Trump represents: an existential threat to our very democracy.

Those Republicans and conservatives who are still now #NeverTrump I have some healthy respect for. They are showing that they are not just pure tribalists like Marco Rubio who would vote for Hitler before Hillary Clinton.

After all, Trump may be running Trump U scam on the entire country but, hey, he's not Hillary Clinton and he has no intention of continuing with Obamacare.

I respect those who may not like Obamacare, maybe they even hate it, but they still understand that Trump represents an existential level threat that goes beyond a simply policy difference.

If you hate Donald Trump and agree this man can never be President, full stop, it doesn't matter Hillary Clinton this or but Hillary Clinton that, then welcome aboard.

At least no one can say you lack principles.

Some of the best anti Trump work lately has come from the Erick Ericksons of the world. What am I not going to quibble where he and I disagree-which is a very great deal?

He agrees that man can not be President. Full stop. Here he talks about Trump and the KKK. Remember when he was asked and Trump was like 'I don't know anything about any white supremacists' and he claimed to not know what the KKK does?

"The other day I linked to the Mother Jones video above. It is brutal. I don’t endorse it all. I think it is a kick in the crotch, but it is what will circulate in the black and Hispanic community to drive up Trump’s negatives. They will seize on Trump’s father being connected to a KKK march and a subsequent arrest. They will fearmonger in ways they never did with Romney or McCain."

"We are starting to get a clear picture of how the left is going to attack Donald Trump. Many of us warned that this was coming. The worst part about it is that much of it will be his own words, those of his employees, and some really awful race baiting."

"And then on to the middle class. There the left is going to use Trump University. The documents are now coming out, along with statements made by former employees under oath. It sounds like Trump University was created by Scientologists. They lured people in, convinced them to cough up money, and waited until they were advanced enough to reveal Xenu."

So there you go. The kinds of people who find Trump so Masterly Persuasive are also those who find the Scientologists irresistably persuasive.

"The steady drip, drip, drip of opposition research is coming and Trump is going to be his own worst enemy. Had Trump not gone out and attacked the “Mexican” judge, who happens to be a native of Indiana, the judge might not have unsealed the records. But they are out there now."

Exactly. I've said the same thing. If he's a brilliant negotiator why did he attack the judge-who was being way too accomodating of him anyway in postponing the trial until after the election. After all, do you think these victims win a suit against Trump after he's elected President?
