Donald Trump is Attacking Morning Joe Again

In other news: it's a beautiful morning, as the Rascals would say.

Every day is a beautiful morning if it starts with Donald Trump attacking Morning Joe again.

Great if you're a Clinton supporter that is.

Donald Trump on Friday ratcheted up his attacks of the co-hosts of MSNBC's "Morning Joe" after the show devoted part of its panel discussion to criticizing the Republican nominee, who until mid-May was a regular guest on the program.

"Just heard that crazy and very dumb @morningmika had a mental breakdown while talking about me on the low ratings @Morning_Joe. Joe a mess!" Trump tweeted, referring to Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough.

"The Republican nominee has frequently targeted the show on Twitter, threatening last month to "tell the real story" about Scarborough and Brzezinski, who opened the Friday show by noting his comments to radio host Laura Ingraham that there would indeed be "softening" in his immigration plan, despite playing to his base during his hyped Wednesday night speech in Arizona."

Of course, Morning Joe has been deliberately antagonizing The Donald lately and it's been awesome.

"Scarborough, a former congressman who dabbles in music, escalated the feud between the show and Trump by releasing a music video on Wednesday titled "Amnesty Don," calling the businessman a "soft and flaccid man" for appearing to vacillate on his immigration proposal."

“He’s softening, is there a pill for that? He’s waffling, his courage just went splat,” one line of the song goes.

"Minutes after his latest hit on "Morning Joe," Trump returned to talking up his own campaign efforts, after Scarborough mocked his organization while acknowledging that Trump is still "in effect tied" with Hillary Clinton."

Ok, Joe. Great song, and nice troll. You are wrong however: this race is not tied. Not even close.

Back to Morning Joe:

"It's just the worst-run campaign. You look at all the changes in modern American history. The candidate at the top of it is the most undisciplined in modern American history. They are doing nothing right. They don't have a ground game anywhere. They don't even have representatives in key counties across America. They could not—seriously—it's like somebody getting ready for the Olympics and just sitting and eating bonbons ... and Cheetos and drinking beer."

Trump responded by tweeting, "People will be very surprised by our ground game on Nov. 8. We have an army of volunteers and people with GREAT SPIRIT! They want to #MAGA!" adding minutes later, "I visited our Trump Tower campaign headquarters last night, after returning from Ohio and Arizona, and it was packed with great pros - WIN!

It is terribly run. Again, this is not an effectively tied race. Trump has trailed wire to wire by 5 or 6 points on average. 2012 polling was much closer but that wasn't effectively tied either.

But with Hillary's huge ground game advantage, even if it were effectively tied this could be a 3 or 4 point Hillary win.

Remember that in both 2008 and 2012, Obama's actual election day margin of victory was about 40% higher than what polling suggested.

Hillary's actual margin of victory may well be considerably higher than what even polling indicates.
