Jeb Bush as the Most Cowardly Politician in America

If this election is about electing the most pathetic politician in the country, I think Jeb should win this hands down. Donald Trump continues to bloviate like the cowardly lion that he is. However, it's hard not to agree with him that Jeb Bush is afraid of him.

"New York real-estate developer and reality television star Donald Trump says Jeb Bush, the front runner for the Republican presidential nomination, views him as a serious political threat.
“Trust me, he takes me seriously,” Mr. Trump, who launched a bid for the Republican presidential nomination earlier this month, said in an interview that aired Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union.”
"Recent polls have shown Mr. Trump only a few percentage points behind the former Florida governor among Republican primary voters."

"While Mr. Bush, a strong fundraiser and the choice of much of the Republican Party establishment, has not engaged Mr. Trump in public, Mr. Trump said that behind the scenes he hears frequently from the Bush campaign regarding his criticisms of the former Florida governor."
“I actually felt bad because I hit him very hard one day,” Mr. Trump said. “I really think he’s a nice man… I don’t know if I want him negotiating with ISIS. I think Trump will do a lot better.”
"Mr. Bush’s campaign spokeswoman declined to comment on Mr. Trump’s remarks Sunday."
"But on Saturday, Mr. Bush did address comments Mr. Trump made in his campaign launch speech about the Mexican border, in which he said people coming to the U.S. from Mexico are “bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists.”
"At a Saturday event in Nevada, Mr. Bush said in Spanish, “I do not agree with his words. They do not represent the values of the Republican Party and they do not represent my values,” according to a campaign aide."
Yeah, way to go Jeb. Just like you're brother, you have the heart of a chicken hawk.
Now let's see if any GOPers will criticize or contradict The Donald in English. That's a bet I would take every time-none will. Not a single one.
Which is rather a problem for the party as he is more or less solidifying a strong narrative that the party doesn't like Latinos very much.
The GOP base though is loving this and why not? Starting with the victory for Obamacare, the President has been on a tremendous run of wins. There were the wins for ACA, gay marriage, and the case that establishes that discrimination doesn't have to be shown to be intentional.
On Monday an injunction was handed down against Texas form imposing it's new draconian law that would have shut down most of the abortion clinics in the state.

Then you have President Obama's move to give 5 million more workers overtime pay

the move to open an embassy in Cuba, the new law to put the for profit colleges in their place

Now there is a DOJ case against price collusion with the airlines.

Even the Confederate flag is in retreat.
The President keeps moving forward and all the GOPers can fume impotently.
However, Trump comes in and says all the things they are feeling. As angry and frustrated as the party is, it''s not so surprising that they will love someone who just brazenly says all the things they want to say anyway.
I've had 'debates' with conservatives and for it to descend to racial or ethnic slurs doesn't usually take very long. Trump is running a campaign as one big slur against the people conservatives hate and they love him for it.

And from my point of view I see this as just awesome. Don't get me wrong, I get tired of all the breathless lionziing of his campaign in the lamestream press, even among the alleged liberals like on the Ed Show, Chris Matthews, and Chris Hayes.
Why is there this reveling in his vile shtick? I honestly had to turn off both Ed and Mathews tonight on MSNBC as they are just ogling this guy. It's just pathetic. It's like a woman who confesses to having rape fantasies about the world's grossest schoolyard bully.
I find nothing about Trump remotely charming or admirable or in any way cute.
He is vile and pitiful and represents everything this country needs to turn its back on.
However, I too am enjoying his rise as it's just terrible news for the GOP. He is the last guy they want to see get publicity.
We know the GOP hates Latino people and immigrants-certainly of any nonwhite races. Any one of them in office will just give us more of the same broken immigration system that is lacking in logic or humanity.
But most in the party don't want to publicly admit this. Trump makes their attempts to sidestep this ugly fact even more impossible.
Even though he won't win it'll be even harder for Jeb to distance himself from a man who he didn't even have the guts to criticize in English.
Meanwhile, the added bonus, is that Trump has simply destroyed his entire tv empire. He has lost everything. He's dismissing being dumped by Macy's, NBC, and Miss America right now but what is he going to do once his clown show is over and the actual Republican nominee-probably Jeb-has moved on to the general?

UPDATE: Now even his golf buddies are taking issue with his bigotry.

It's like the time Daffy Duck was mad that Bugs Bunny always upstaged him and so blew himself up to finally get top billing.
It worked but as he floated out of the theater-now a ghost-he realized the drawback: he could only do it once.

Trump will have nothing once his clown show of a campaign is over.
