See the difference? Couldn't be more obvious:
"The phase-out brigade is back! But now instead of George W. Bush wanting to phase out Social Security, it's Jeb Bush wanting to phase out Medicare."
"The former Florida governor opined Wednesday on the future of Medicare, a program he said "we need to figure out a way to phase out."
"As MSNBC reported, the GOP 2016er was speaking at an Americans for Prosperity event in New Hampshire, where he brought up a TV ad in which a Paul Ryan-look-a-like "was pushing an elderly person off the cliff in a wheelchair." The ad was knocking Ryan's Medicare-related budget proposals."

Jeb would never do anything like that!
"I think we need to be vigilant about this and persuade people that our, when your volunteers go door to door, and they talk to people, people understand this. They know, and I think a lot of people recognize that we need to make sure we fulfill the commitment to people that have already received the benefits, that are receiving the benefits," Bush said. "But that we need to figure out a way to phase out this program for others and move to a new system that allows them to have something – because they’re not going to have anything."
There we go-the old divide and conquer strategy. Don't worry old people we won't take your benefits just those of your children and grandchildren.
The sad thing is many seniors in recent years seem to believe this ploy as the GOP over the last 20 years has taken over a demographic that used to be solidly Democratic.
Notice also the mysterious X Plan he's hinting at but giving no substance or body to whatsoever. We will replace it but we won't tell you today what that is but maybe someday if you're good. \
Isn't this more ore less the GOP 'alternative plan' on everything these days? We will replace Obamacare though we're not going to say with what. We too want to do immigration reform but we won't make any recommendations at this point in time-maybe someday we will. For now just make sure the border's secure.
At this point there is no reason to think that Jeb is in any way superiour to his brother-he says nice things about immigration but so did W. Yet, he repeats the same mantra of other GOPers that he's or immigration reform after the border is secure which skates around the fact that the border is already very secure.
The Bush way has always been the kinder, gentler way to do the mean and nasty things the GOP wants to do. Same old sour out of date wine in slightly more friendly looking bottles.
Is this the kind of policy that's going to win over Americans concerned about wage stagnation and a drop in their standard of living? Just like I'm sure the GOP attacks on Planned Parenthood will get them back in with women. Thankfully Hillary is calling them out:
Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton entered the controversial fray over "sting" videos produced by an anti-abortion group that claim to show Planned Parenthood officials discussing the sale of tissue from aborted fetuses.
"Clinton called the campaign an "attack" on the reproductive healthcare provider, as well as on women's right to an abortion."
“I think it is unfortunate that Planned Parenthood has been the object of such a concerted attack for so many years,” Clinton said at a Greenville, S.C. event Thursday, according to ThinkProgress. “And it’s really an attack against a woman’s right to choose, to make the most personal, difficult decisions that any woman would face, based on her faith and the medical advice that she’s given.”

P.S. Jeb is also not as nice as he looks.

That's the Bush family way: always say you're a kinder and gentler Republican while you're actions say differently.
