Rush Limbaugh Demonstrates Why There's no Downside to Trump

Again-he's the liberal Trump card. I asked yesterday if there is any downside to the Trump phenomenon.

    http://diaryofarepublicanhater.blogspot.com/2015/07/there-is-no-down-side-to-donald-trump.html

The answer is that there is none and here is Rush Limbaugh to remove any doubt of this. '

"Mr. Trump is not following the typical protocol for public figures who are scorned by the establishment, Mr. Limbaugh said.

“The American people haven’t seen something like this in a long time,” the radio host said, speaking to the unique nature of the emerging 2016 Republican presidential contest, in which harnessing anger and money may be crucial ingredients for success. “They have not seen an embattled public figure stand up for himself, double down and tell everybody to go to hell.”

“Trump can survive this, Trump is surviving this,” Mr. Limbaugh said at the start of his three-hour program on Monday, two days after Mr. Trump took issue with the description of Mr. McCain, a former Vietnam prisoner-of-war, as a “war hero.” “This is a great, great teachable moment here, this whole thing with Trump and McCain.:

It sure is a teachable moment all right though not in a way that Limbaugh would ever understand. You see-Trump has become in the minds of the base the Real and True Conservative in the race. Anyone who criticizes just shows that they don't get it because at bottom, let's face it-they're a liberal.

So while these comments here make much more sense who do you think the base will listen to-Rush or this sensible conservative?

"Conservatives don’t need a blubbering, narcissistic nitwit making a mockery of their positions.

"Please. I think it’s unseemly for a man to beg, so I’m not begging, but I’m as close to begging as you can get. I’m pleading. I’m imploring. I’m beseeching. I’m doing other things I could list if I had a thesaurus handy. I am strongly urging you to drop this Donald Trump nonsense. For your own good, friends. For the good of the planet. For the good of the universe itself. Just drop it."

"Donald Trump is a fraud. I’d call him a fool, but he’s worse than a fool; he’s a phony who makes fools out of other people. And, no, he’s not making fools out of liberals — trust me, they couldn’t be happier with the guy — he’s making one out of you."

The GOP establishment is beside itself and desperate to call in the dogs-to no avail.

"Reacting swiftly to Donald Trump's disparaging remarks Saturday about Sen. John McCain's war service, the Republican National Committee issued a statement saying there was "no place in our party or our country" for such comments.

"Senator McCain is an American hero because he served his country and sacrificed more than most can imagine. Period," said Sean Spicer, the RNC's chief strategist and communications director. "There is no place in our party or our country for comments that disparage those who have served honorably.”

You have to think of Donald Trump as a schoolyard bully and the Reince Priebus' comments being on the level of a note from his victim's mother. How much do you think this letter from John McCain's mom is going to dissuade the Rush Limbaughs of the world from oohing and aahhhing over Trump?

All this does is further convince the base that Trump is this brilliant conservative truth teller which leads to more and more coverage and more and more it will be clear that Trump does speak for the true heart of the Republican party.
