He's not happy about this of course and has lashed out at HuffPo declaring he was never a fan-though he had been a fan of their poll tracker that showed him leading the GOP field.
"Business mogul Donald Trump responded Friday to The Huffington Post's announcement that coverage of his presidential "campaign" will be part of our Entertainment section by saying he's "never been a fan" of the site."
"In a statement Friday, Trump said he is "number one in the unimportant Huffington Post poll," referencing HuffPost Pollster, which averages over 100 public polls on the presidential race and compiles the results in one place,"
"Trump, whose shit-talking game is so bad it's good, criticized "the money-losing Huffington Post," calling it a "glorified blog" despite having shared our content in the past."

I actually find myself with mixed feelings about this move by HuffPo. Their reasoning is impeccable-his campaign is a sideshow and he's not going to win.
"HuffPost announced Friday that coverage of Trump would no longer treat him as a legitimate presidential candidate."
"After watching and listening to Donald Trump since he announced his candidacy for president, we have decided we won't report on Trump's campaign as part of The Huffington Post's political coverage," HuffPost Editorial Director Danny Shea and Washington Bureau Chief Ryan Grim wrote. "Instead, we will cover his campaign as part of our Entertainment section. Our reason is simple: Trump's campaign is a sideshow. We won't take the bait. If you are interested in what The Donald has to say, you'll find it next to our stories on the Kardashians and The Bachelorette."
"Their not wrong. Indeed, I have made this same argument myself-I found the media firestorm around his campaign obnoxious and silly."
"Yet, I've now come to the conclusion that, paradoxically, I like having him run and want it to continue as long as possible. I don't expect him to win-if he does then the GOP is in even more trouble this time than I thought."
"But the longer he's on top of the primary polls the bigger the GOP black eye is. Quite honestly, I like hm being their spokesman as he is the true face of the 2015 Republican party."
The GOP establishment certainly would never let him win the primary but in truth Trump is speaking to the heart of the GOP voter-who is feeling more angry and disaffected than ever.
Trump is the perfect salve for the party today. I mean they're even losing their precious Confederate flag-Trump attacking Mexicans is their consolation prize:
"Suddenly, with a single flap of the Angel of History’s wings, America has experienced a shuddering change: the American swastika has finally become toxic—a liberation that last month seemed so impossible that we’d forgotten to bother to think about it."
"While ignorant or insensate bitter-enders will continue to screech, there’s no going back: This thing is toxic even to Republican backbenchers. You could see that on Capitol Hill last week: late Wednesday night, Republicans sedulously repealed a Democratic amendment banning this flag of treason against the U.S. government from U.S. cemeteries. Dozens of Democrats then stood shoulder-to-shoulder on the House floor to all but accuse their colleagues across the aisle of evil. (Imagine the impossibility of them doing the same on, say, gun control.) The Republicans, embarrassed, backtracked—and the amendment’s sponsor, Rep. Ken Calvert (R-CA) issued a statement disclaiming responsibility, blaming his leadership instead. (Wedge issue!)"
"Or watch the awe-inspiring speech of the Republican South Carolina state representative whoburst into tears, begging her party-mates to finally come to their senses: “I have heard enough about heritage. I have a heritage. I am a life-long South Carolinian. I am a descendant of Jefferson Davis, okay? But that does not matter!”
"So, progress, right? The Republican Party, or at least more of it than we ever would have dreamed, abandoning yesteryear’s bigotry, proving that progress is possible: people can change."
"Right?"
"Not so fast. Let’s not forget the juxtaposition: at almost precisely the same moment, Donald Trump announced his presidential campaign with the immortal words: “When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best … They’re sending people that have lots of problems. And they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists.” And, immediately, Trump shot to the top of the Republican charts—with a bullet: he’s now the most popular candidate among GOP likely voters, four points ahead of Jeb Bush."

So they lose a Confederate flag but gain The Donald.
