Ok Michael Steele, Let's Talk About Health Care

Tonight Steele was on Chris Mathews and was trying to deflect about Vice President Joe Biden's barn burning speech today by saying why didn't he mention health care.

I just don't get it. Is the GOP really this clueless? Probably, they had Steele as the RNC Chairman for 3 years. But talking about health care is nothing but a total embarrassment for Mitt Romney as he passed the original ObamaCare bill in Massachusetts and wrote an op-ed in 2009 praising the President for looking at drum roll please: the individual mandate.

Now Romney has to pretend like this is a monstrosity, a destruction of individual rights when it's his bill. This is the shamelessness of Republicans like Michael Steele.

Morgan Warstler, a commentator over at Money Illusion was tyring to tell me that the Right is smarter than the Left. Sorry,  see no sign of even a simple room temperature IQ in the GOP race. You've got Romney doubling down on his "Let Detroit Fail" jag, telling people that Michigan is his home and he always loves coming back here because "I like cars" and "the trees are all the same height."

This is a guy who goes up in front of his own supporters and mocks them for not having a stylish rain coat like him. If they're so smart, why does Romney say so many dumb things? If your Romney you just want to pretend there was no op-ed and there was no bailout-just don't mention it.

The GOP is sitting here gloating at high oil prices, gloating at the American people's misery because they think it will give them votes, claiming that high oil prices happened on "the President's watch." What about the House Republicans? It happened on their watch as well, how is it that they take ownership of nothing?

We know they have nothing else to do, as they are the classic Do Nothing Congress, Harry Truman successfully campaigned against in 1948. They have plenty of time to do something as they don't pass the bill against violence against women, they don't pass a transportation bill, they don't pass anything that might help the economy because they have long since decided to check out, that a failed economy is their ticket to achieving the only thing they've ever cared about-making Obama fail. If the American people have to suffer to accomplish it they're prepared to accept that.
