He continues to insist he's "going all the way to Tampa." If only he wouldn't it would really help us-us being the Santorum Democrats.
While he has stuck to this message of going all the way, his campaign has given mixed messages by saying that he needs to do really well on Tuesday or...
This was the words of Hammond, his spokesman. However it seems pretty clear that he does need to do well Tuesday. Until now he can point out that he is at parity with Santorum in delegates. Trouble is he's won only two states, South Carolina, and Georgia, and in many states he hasn't competed at all.
The other morning he was giving a stump speech to only about 100 people and he mostly was off topic until the end when he started attacking the Koran. He was also talking about his campaign in the past tense.
He needs a win. He does have a decent chance in Alabama and Mississippi, as the South is his region. The hope is that Santourm's big win in Kansas today will give him the Big Mo going into to Tuesday.
Newt your campaign has served it's purpose. What that is who can say. But leave on a winning note. Mostly just leave.
