I know I am, already can't wait. Already have the money saved from my meager unemployment check to watch at Applebee's on Sunday. I know unemployment insurance raises unemployment-lol. Those $.25 cent wings and free refills on soda-for those of you with a more sophisticated pallet, mixed drinks are 2 for 1-I can't miss. It's fun to go out and watch with other fans while at home often you can't get left alone.
Just was looking at the latest Massey-Peabody rankings and as I imagined, the Giants fell hard, 9 places from 6th to 15th. This is partly because Seattle was so lowly ranked coming in. On the other hand the Jets even in a 30-21 defeat to the New England Patriots move up from the high 20s down to a rank of 18th. Prior to the game the Jets were actually ranked beneath the Dolphins who they host Monday night and are favored by 9 by Vegas.
The Jets still rank very low on two stats that largely effect the rankings: making first downs or successfully setting up the next down (26th) and preventing opponents from doing that on defense (23rd).
The Giants play the 8th ranked 4-1 Bills. Still the matchup of the Giants 2nd ranked defense vs. the 15th ranked Bills defense offers some hope. Now if the Giants can just find a running game...
In comparing M-P to the official Las Vegas odds there is not too much difference. Firstly interestingly, out of 13 games Vegas has only one road team favored this week-the Saints over Tampa Bay. And there is no difference at all between M-P and Vegas this week. Ok actualy there's no difference.
