I just don't get why there's this much karping. Now Carville is coming out with some study to complain about Obama's message. I don't get it. If Carville, or Clinton, or Booker or anyone else wants to help why do it in public so that the Republicans can right away relish it?
I don't actually think his message is so bad. And to an extent there's nothing that can be done right now-the ball is in Europe's hands. Supposedly the American people are incapable of understanding this fact. They understand none of that or that there is the obstructionist GOP Congress all they know is that Obama is President and things are still tough and therefore he's 240% to blame for it and nobody else has nay responsibility. Certainly not the Congressional Republicans.

See this is the kind of useless "advice" of supposed supporters that is just worthless. Western says the truth can't help because it "sounds like" sour grapes even though it isn't. As usual he-like all such useless Democratic advisers-offers no clue about what Obama can do. If the truth doesn't work maybe we should try lies like Romney as that seems to be working? How come the GOP has no trouble spinning their "way out of a trash heap?"

See I don't know what Hass is watching, they do sell their victories. Like for example taking out Bin Laden-of course now Darrell Issa's GOP is trying to claim that this doesn't matter, all that matters is building phony scandals.
Although there seems to be this idea that the President is not allowed to admit there's anything in the world that he doesn't control, and that doing so is a humiliation in front of the simple minded American people who think the President has total control and responsibility for everything, I don't see anything so hard to grasp in the basic Obama message. My suggestion is to ignore these boobirds.
My advice to the boobirds-if you are part of the solution try doing it behind closed doors. If there's one thing the GOP does excel at that the Dems are clearly horrible at it's message discipline. Certainly speaking to Politico is not a good idea as Politico has done everything it can to support Romney since the primary was cinched.
Take a look today at it's "top ten stories." The first headline is Spike Lee declaring Obama win is "not a sure thing." Headline two is the story I'm writing about here and linked above 'Dems want change in Obama's message.'
Headline three is Paul Ryan gloating that "it's amazing" Romney is tied with Obama. Headline four proclaims that "Leak fever has it Washington"-ie, Darrell Issa's politically motivated witch hunt. Headline five is 'Wall St. vote: Romney in a landslide.' This story shows that Romney leads in donations from the finance industry by $41 million dollars to about 7 million for Obama.
Finally headline six is about something other than "Wow! Obama is in sooooo much trouble!" However story seven is very similar to headline two-the subject of this post-with Carville saying "I'm worried!"
Headline eight says GOP "adjusts its healthcare strategy" so finally one looks at the GOP rather than Obama but that's mostly good news, the GOP is in control and its a topic which they may get great news if the SJC knocks down the individual mandate-or more.
Headline nine is again about Obama though a little more neutral, in this one "Obama-Rubio duel to end in Senate showdown."
Firedoglake Nation-hate Obama, but so does most of the "whole world." In truth if you read the story you see the headline was spun. Europe still favors Obama. Obama has been hurt recently in places like Russia and China but that's because we've had some conflict with these two countries lately, not because the Chinese and Russians hate "ObamaCare."

You can't tell me this isn't deliberate. There are plenty of embarrassing headlines you could put in for Romney-like that he wants to end popular provisions in the AHA providing for only those who already have policies and that he was just beating up on police, firefighters and teachers saying that no more should be hired and absurdly that these can't be hired at the federal level and don't contribute to growth. A simple IS-LM tells you differently Y=C+I+G+X. Clearly an increase in G does increase Y-output or GDP.
But Politico isn't interested in any such substantive questions. Nor do they care that Romney has refused to show his tax returns for any year but 2010-breaking long precedent for all presidential nominees. Instead they just spin stories for Republican gain. We'll quibble for weeks because Obama said the private economy is "fine" as if the GOP wasn't saying much rosier things than this in 2008. In truth what Obama meant was true-the private economy has been growing, it's the public sector that has been shrinking.
And yes, an increase in government spending does increase GDP. Romney should stop being advised by Rush Limbaugh.
