So Mitt How Much Do You Really Love God?

After listening to his stump speech in Virginia-where he appeared with, you guessed it, Pat Robertson-I have just one complaint. Look at what he said:

"I pledge this under God, I will not take God out of the name of our platform [sic], I will not take God off our coins and I will not take God out of my heart. We’re a nation bestowed by God."

Now c'mon Mitt! In 30 seconds you only mentioned the Almighty 5 times? Is someone lukewarm?

Really, it's quite fitting that this was less a speech than a loyalty oath to God. If you recall, the word "God" was only put on U.S. currency in the 50s. It was done in the climate of McCarythism and anti-Communist fervor.

So it's no surprise that he sounds here like the chairman of the old House Committee of Un-American Activities.

I take it as a suggestion of how desperate Mitt is becoming. Is this really his only path to victory? Maybe Virginia will vote Mitt after his loyalty oath?
