The 53% Panicking Over Romney Tapes

Some members of the 53% are worried. Take Jack Welsh for instance:

"Mitt Romney needs to a lay out a clearer, more encompassing vision of what he will do as president and not get sidetracked by small controversies, businessman and author Jack Welch said."

Yes. Just what Romney needs: some more advice from rich people.

"Lay each one of these out in a big speech, over and over again and to big crowds, packed stadiums. Do anything," Welch said in a CNBC "Squawk Box" interview. "It's so clear, it's so simple. The Republicans should be winning this election and with this economy, this situation. It's frightening."
Yes, it's so frightening! So says Mr. Welch, a charter member of the 53%. I mean, if Obama is re-elected he GE may one year actually pay its taxes. However, this begs the question: how is Welch part of the 53%? After all GE doesn't pay taxes.

The Romney Tapes. Talk about weapons of mass destruction. They are the gift that keeps on giving. This video will be watched again and again until election day. In years to come historians will look back on them.

A few people are impressed: Rush Limbauhg and Erich Erickson. It's easy for Limbaugh to be impressed. He doesn't do any focus group polling. The people who do are worried. Look how fast folks like Scott Brown moved to say these aren't his views:

"Two Republican Senate candidates, Linda McMahon, in Connecticut, and Scott Brown, in Massachusetts, distanced themselves from Mr Romney, saying the majority of Americans on welfare did not want to rely on government handouts."

Both these candidates are in blue states. What is clear is that Elizabeth Warren has finally figured out how to hit Brown. The point is not him, whether you like him. or think he's a moderate. No matter what, a vote for him is a vote for Mitch McConnell to become Senate Majority Leader.

All this barely touches the surface for Romney. The 47% comment is the most famous one but how about that he said that the Palestinians don't want peace. Sure, they are so perverse that they want their children to grow in a war zone and to live under constant threat. So turns out his "mistake" about Islamic "culture" back on his trip was no mistake either.

If you haven't watched the whole interview-must viewing-check it out here.
