How to Drive Emoprogs Crazy: Say something remotely negative about Bernie Sanders.

I wish I could say it was but this is not my line but my buddy Motor City Liberal on Twitter.

I've got nothing too much negative about Sanders except that I see no reason to vote for him rather than Hillary. I also wonder how someone in the 'Socialist' party can run in the Democratic primary. When I pointed this out to an Emoprog on Twitter they right away accused me of Red baiting.

However, the extravagant sensibilities of Emoprogrs would be funny if they didn't do real harm:

"Maine: Paul LePage, without a doubt the most buffoonish governor in America (he got elected and re-elected when in both races a third-party candidate split the Democratic vote), has literally pledged to veto every bill passed by Democrats until they approve his plan to eliminate the state's income tax, which would of course decimate the state's revenue and require huge cutbacks in services. The state is currently facing the possibility of a government shutdown."

So you mean to tell me that the Emoprogs not once but twice split the Democrat vote thereby electing and re-electing the worse GOP Governor in the nation-which is really saying something!

This is the problem with third-party challenges on the Left, the just help the GOP. This is why I say that we ought to learn from what that great radical Republican Thaddeus Stevens said: 'Principles indeed! Betray your principles and stand by your party!"

I'm not just a liberal or progressive demanding that the most leftist person in the world run in every race but also a Democrat. I don't want to do anything to hurt the party.

I don't see what it is that Sanders advocates that Hillary doesn't but if he really is further to the Left he'd have even less chance getting anything done in Congress. This is what has to be remembered: you don't just evaluate candidates in isolation but game out the big picture.

Incidentally, many liberals-even those who voted against fast track authority-feel labor unions went a bit far in some of their tactics in pushing Democrats to vote no:

“I didn’t like what I was reading and seeing in the public from the [union] presidents in terms of trying to single members out and pick on members,” said Rep. Cedric Richmond (D-La.), who voted against fast-track. “I’m one of those guys that really protects my friends, and the Democrats are my friends and I didn’t like the fact that [labor was] doing that.”

I'm not a fan of the this Firedoglake tactic where you have a Democrat in office who you agree with what he does 100 times but if one issue comes up that you and he disagree with him then it's 'Do what I want on this or you're primaried.'

“They still have other issues [before Congress]. They act like they don’t, but they do. You don’t go make enemies out of people that you’re going to be coming to ask to vote for something else in the next couple of days,” Richmond said. “I thought it was very shortsighted.”

I don't think friends ought to suddenly treat each other as enemies over one disagreement even if there are strong feelings on both sides. Forgetting this is how we ended up with Paul Lepage or George W. Bush
