Yes, the optics of Christy and his best friend Jerry Jones is just laugh out loud funny.

The whole thing makes me think of a joke: what do Christy's Cowboys have in common with George W. Bush? Well they're both from Texas and they both needed the help of crooked judges to get where they are: Bush became President because the Supreme Court was dominated by Republicans-and the Cowboys beat the Lions with a little help of their friends like the Beatles said except that these friends wore ref uniforms.

Christy on the other hand just thinks he's above the law. However, here's what's not so funny-particularly for him. When you look at the kinds of gifts he's received from Jones , and this after he gave Jones such a nice gift via the Port Authority-the very same one Christy is in so much trouble over with Bridgegate-it asks some very serious questions. Christy may try to blow this off but his pattern here with Jones is very similar to the one we had with Bob McDonnell in Virginia-or in the past with Jack Abramoff or Tom Delay among others-where this can lead to prison as it did today for McDonnell.
"Four months after he was found guilty of 11 counts of corruption, former Virginia governor Bob McDonnell was sentenced to just two years in federal prison today. The sentence was far lower than the six and half years sought by prosecutors."

At least this is something to add to the investigation into Bridgegate.
