I just came across a great interview that Mike Westoff did on a Phildaelphia sports station during the season after Nick Foles went down and Sanchez was back at the helm. What he says about him seems spot on and shows why he might be a perfect fit for a reunion with Rex in Buffalo.

I have to say there are good interviews and bad interviews, and Westoff is a great interview. He did say that Sanchez can be successful but he can't be the focal point of a team the way the Manning brothers, Drew Brees, Brady, Aaron Rogers, or Russell Wilson are.
“Mark was a piece and really that’s all that he did,” Westhoff said Wednesday on the 94WIP Josh Innes Show. “He was a piece, a good solid piece, but not enough to carry us [the Jets]. He really just wasn’t, but what Mark did a nice job of, is he managed things well and he knew where to go with the ball. Now, we helped him out by running the football. We led the league in rushing, we had great starting field positions—we had the best starting field position in the league, I could score on special teams. So we were able to help, and he sensibly managed it, and did a nice job of it. He did a very, very nice job. But, again as I said, Mark was on the bus. He wasn’t driving the bus, he was just on it.”

These days in the NFL it's an offensive league-which I personally, happen to like. When I started watching sports about 30 years ago, the NBA was a much more offesnive league, and the NFL was much less so. I like the move in the NFL and rather lament the move in the NBA though I still love the game.
To be a team that is not built around a franchise QB is an uphill climb that finally caught up with the Jets under Ryan. Right now though Buffalo seems tailor made for him as it's a pretty good team-a good bus as it were-without a QB. He should do well at leas for now as they figure out wether Emanuel has what it takes to be an NFL QB.
Interestingly, Westoff also argues that there was never any intention for Tebow to compete for Sanchez's job-he was seen as someone who could fill in on special teams and contribute but not as a starting NFL QB-Westoff argues that Tebow isn't cut out for that and it's hard to argue with him there either.
