Romney's devolution on gay rights

Of course this is true of his party as a whole. I have argued with Ron Paul supporters who tell me that all that matters is his rhetorical opposition to the Iraq war or the war on drugs-they leave out that he believes in austerity on steroids and that he is actually opposed to a woman's right to choose.
And then there are the views of his son, Rand Paul. One wonders where Rand gets these views from.
Rand was recently mocking the President for his support of gay rights.
"Sen. Rand Paul mocked President Obama's recent support of gay marriage on Friday, saying he didn't think Obama's views "could get any gayer."

Yeah, the old "let the states decide" cop out. But not only do these comments put Rand Paul in a very poor light-of course who can forget the night Rachel Maddow made news after Rand had just been elected and he declared that it's ok in the 21st century for restaurants to refuse to serve African-Americans?
Actually this quote also shows that Ron Paul supporters can't just shrug their shoulders and say this is Rand Paul speaking and not his father. I mean you might wonder if there not his father's views also. But putting that aside Rand said it while campaigning for his dad, the people laughing were Ron Paul supporters.
It says nothing very good about either Paul and nothing very good about where the Republican party is today and how far it has come and yes "evolved." Mr. Paul may mock the Presidents evolution. Too bad all we get from him is devolution.
