Democrats For Santorum

Never thought I'd see the day. But hey desperate times bring desperate measures-however the desperate ones are the GOP. I'm not really desperate other than desperately amused by this entire primary.

I like whoever delays the inevitable. Yet my interest in Santorum dragging it on is not only sabotage-he even has one decent provision-to triple the child tax credit deduction. To be sure he's got lots of bad ones like cutting corporate taxes, etc.

Romney is claiming to help the middle class by cutting the capital gains tax on anyone who makes less than $200,000 a year. Evidently he doesn't know that there are people who don't get most of their income in capital gains. Of course he wouldn't know anyone like that in his own life.

The one thing that bodes well is that meeting planned by the Texas conservatives. The best strategy for them is to throw all their votes at the remaining conservative in the race with the best shot at winning, right now of course that appears to be Santorum. They got to somehow get rid of Perry and Newt-Newt had claimed he would be willing to work with Santorum.  He certainly is helping things with his soundbite calling Romney a "Massachusetts moderate."

Gingrich is full of vindictiveness towards Romney-after the job he did on Newt in Iowa. Hey Newt do you still think corporations are people? If they weren't those super pacs wouldn't have done that job on you.

Tough being a Republican theses days. Not only do you have to run against your own ideas-not only did Romney pass Obamacare in Mass but Newt had initially advocated it back in 1993-but you even have to run against your interests; if only they weren't people.

I know the ideology that Obama is in trouble because of the economy, that no matter who he faces it will be tough, that "not as bad as the other guy" is not an inspiring slogan.

Maybe not-though in fairness that's not his whole slogan. But really how can it be that the strength of your opponent has no impact on your prospects?

Maybe for example Mike Tyson is struggling but it makes a difference whether his fight will be against Holyfied of Kermit the Frog as to whether he can muddle through.
