Rick Perry Mocks "Halftime in America" Slogan

He made some lame barb about 'if it's halftime in America we can;t let Obama on the field in the second half." What's actually great is that Perry, who has himself long been benched is helping rather than hurting us here.

A few things should be clear. First of all, that was a great ad by Clint Eastwood. Secondly, in his mind it wasn't really supposed to be about the administration. However, the more the GOP makes all these charges of collusion between Obama and Chrysler the more it benefits Obama and maybe even the Democratic party as a whole.

So keep up the barbs. The reality is that you can't possibly associate that ad and that line especially-Halftime in America-too closely with the Obama campaign.

They must love it and for my part I wonder if they would consider adopting it the way the Reagan campaign in 1984 made "Morning in America" their slogan and the FDR team made  "A Rendezvous With Destiny!" its slogan in 1936.

Of course the beauty of this is that it was not actually created by the Obama team, but the GOP keeps acting like it was. All that does is further force ownership of a very much winning slogan. Keep it coming! Talk about manna from Heaven.
