We've spoken lately about the lack of empathy, imagination, and just general overall cluelessness of Mitt Romney and that the Obama campaign should have no problem connecting many times on his big old glass jaw.
However, while it's tough to be as clueless as Romney, Nancy Brinker the founder of the Susan G. Komen Foundation has shown herself to be just as clueless.
Her attempts to defend her organization that raises money for breast cancer research continue to make things get worse. She should save her breath and shut her mouth. The more she talks, the worse it is for Komen.
She complained that the criticism is "distracting" Susan G. Komen's mission. What mission is that again, seeing that you have just defunded Planned Parenthood to please the House Republicans on another one of their anti-abortion witch hunts?
She is also telling us that she doesn't care what we the public think that she has pulled the tap on Planned Parenthood and nothing will change her mind. What she seems not to get is that she is running a charity. Ultimately the public may do to her what she has done to Planned Parenthood. She even says she "won't bow down."
If she loses lots of donors she may really find out what bowing down is all about.
