Hello Folks as We Enter a New Week!

Don't know how your 3 day weekend went, mine was good for most part, there was a surfing contest at Long Beach, here on Long Island. I also had the levity of being trolled by Bretibart's fans again. LOL. If you have missed this you want to catch up! good morning my friends! Another new week. Please see the latest on my encounters with Bretibart and his trolls! http://diaryofarepublicanhater.blogspot.com/2011/09/annoy-andrew-breitbart-sign-our.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+DiaryOfARepublicanHater+%28Diary+of+a+Republican+Hater%29

Again, got a great chirpstory out of it. http://chirpstory.com/li/2416

Also as I finally have power again-got it late Friday, our radio show will be back on at 1-3 est. http://planamerica.org/index.jsp?contentPage=NewstandMedia.jsp

Looking forward to get back on with my co-host, the inimitable Turbo Kitty!

This week will hopefully give us some good news at least in the form of the Speech Obama is giving Thursday, September 8. If he gives good proposals that's the most we can ask for. If the GOP obstructs it is still better that he makes them, for it will show the America People who has it's interests and who is obstructing it.

It will also could be good for the elusive business confidence-again even if he is unable to pass many of his ideas. He is going to use the executive order for certain ideas, firstly, a plan to provide mortgage relief, maybe allowing millions of homeowners to refinance.

The news for the economy continues to be highly concerning and the market too is worried so at this point any thing Obama can do is much needed medicine.

I am in the middle of a book "The Globalization Reader" edited by Frank J. Lechner and John Boll, the second straight book I'm reading about it. The last one was from the stand point of the Seattle protesters, etc, this one has more of a variety of viewpoints, including even editors at the economist; both books though are 10 years old. Lot of watter under the bridge since. Still trying to figure out what exactly globalization is and what should be the response of those who are concerned about Ross Perot's "giant sucking sound."

Some will no doubt think it's simple-just repeal NAFTA, don't engage in any free trade policies. I'm less sure going back to the "world before NAFTA" sometime in 1993 is as simple as they think.
