Another Leg of the GOP Campaign Against Hillary: Blatant Ageism

The first leg is sexism. Enough said. We still live in a society that has a certain level of tolerance of sexist attacks against female candidates-in 2008 even liberals who supported Obama-and you know he has no greater supporter now than yours truly-saw fit to suggest that women lack some of the necessary elements of leadership to run the country and that Bill Clinton will really be running the country.

Saturday Night Live is still comfortable making the most puerile sexist attacks against Hillary: SNL doesn't like her because she's too 'cold.' She should learn to be a little softer while running or President, SNL feels.

As bad as liberals who opposed her in 2008 or even SNL-which just has always hated women; it's astonishing how unflattering their portraits of women have always been-the GOP is 100 times more sexist. A big part of their opposition to her will simply be: you let liberal guilt make you vote for Obama don't make the same mistake again.

Another leg is this absurd gambit to Mitt Romney her-forgetting that Jeb Bush is Mitt Romney on steroids.

The final stool is this blatant ageist line: 'She's just so old!'

They don't put it quite this way but all this talk about her being a 'candidate of the past'-what else can that mean? True, you could argue that it's about moving forward from old ideas to new ideas. However, I see that Marco Rubio keeps acting like he's the candidate of tomorrow simply because he's 25 years younger.

Scott Walker went as far as saying-'In twenty years I could run for President and still be the same age as the Secretary of State.'

It doesn't get more blatant than that.
