First and foremost: thank you all. I seriously do love you all in all sincerity. I'm so grateful to you for reading my blog and even more so if you come back often. If you read me on a regular or even daily basis, then I love you squared or cubed-probably more than that even.
It's hard to believe it but Diary is almost 2 years old-will be in June. Who can forget my first piece that June: I was an apologist for Anthony Weiner who actually seems to have had a reversal of fortunes based on recent polling. I have to assume that he's the underdog no matter what the polls say but wouldn't it be something if NYC made him our Mayor-I say "our" though I'm actually from Long Island.

That would be an achievement we could all be proud of.
There are a few changes here. My blog appearance is now different, thanks to my web consultant: thank you! I liked my original look but this should make a few things more accessible and easy to find.
In addition you maybe notice a new feature I added at the top right: SUPPORT MY BLOG. Yes, I'm going to appeal to my great readers to give me a small donation if you have it.
Absolutely no pressure but if you can spare even $1 it would be very much appreciated and helpful to the effort. Think of it this way. What we're talking about here is what the economists call asymmetric costs-or they call it something like that anyway!
If you can find it possible to donate say $5 per month-that's all to Diary, it's not a large cost to yourself-if it is don't make it. However, it's a big shot in the arm for me. Of all the thousands who go through this blog in a week if just 40 in any given week can make it their week to donate $5-yes I'll accept more if you insist!-that'.s $200 extra bucks for me per week. So if you donate $5 a month you could help me double my minuscule paycheck-assuming that others do as you do.
The reason I like $200 is it's about what I average at my telemarketing job over at Slomin's Oil and Alarm. You'd be doing me a big solid. Here are a few reasons you might want to help me out here:
1. You like my blog. If so consider a monthly tip. Yes I know I'm asking for it but that's because when you order a pizza you do it automatically. On a blog post you don't think of the benefit you're getting so I'm just reminding you of that.
2. I'm an underdog. I've mentioned this in the past. I'm making $200 a week at this part time telemarketing job and really want to move back out of my parents' house! As fellow liberals we're supposed to root for the underdog and help him/her where we can.
I can't tell you that I'm the most deserving recipient of your donation but I think it's fair to say I'm not the least.
So if you like this blog consider a $5 monthly donation-for you big spenders I'll accept more so as not to insult you!
I guess this will begin a monthly ritual where I'll do the fundraising thing-it reminds me of PBS but what can you do?
