Cain's strategy of dismissing his accusers for not coming forward with salacious details is over. Looks like he'll have to adopt a new one. The strategy some of his supporters have adopted so far is to point out that she's been through a few bankruptcies. Well, then case closed! Anyone who has ever been bankrupt is a bad person whose word is not to be believed. After all, God is a bondholder and running a delinquent account is the unpardonable sin. Maybe all women who make accusations of sexual harassment should first of all submit to a credit check. If they're under a 700 their suit should be summarily dismissed.
In truth it shows how bankrupt the Cain people are becoming. But this tactic of going into full frontal attack against Sharon Bialek, the first woman to dare to go public, will likely backfire. If the Republican primary voters are so Neanderthal as not to be appalled by such ugliness on the part of Cain this won't be the case for the mainstream electorate. Again, as observed previously, if Cain somehow wins the primary it is all to the best from the Democratic point of view. This is why the Republicans are tyring to bring down his stock-Gingrich is the latest to say that it is only a matter of time for Cain until this hurts him after Rove completely pulled the rug from under him yesterday. If you want nastiness listen to Cain's friends in their attempt at damage control:
The Friends of Herman Cain also attacked Bialek: “After attacking Herman Cain through anonymous accusers for a week, his opponents have now convinced a woman with a long history of severe financial difficulties, including personal bankruptcy, to falsely accuse the Republican front-runner of events occurring over a decade ago for which there is no record, nor even a complaint filed.”
