Al Franken once said that the Rush Limbaugh show is where you are punished for what you know, ie, you are under a reverse curve. If the Republican party is the home of people who don't like smarty pantses who know too much they have their choice of many delicacies in this years GOP primary.
Not to be outdone by Perry's not being able to name three government agencies Cain again displayed his functional illiteracy on foreign policy matters. In the past he has tried to make his lack of knowledge a virtue. Again now that he wasn't sure what Obama had even done in Libya or what he agreed with or didn't agree with of what Obama did do, he played the old, "Why do you expect me to know everything? This must be liberal bias."
No one expects anyone to know everything even if you are running for President, it's true. But is it not a little worrisome that Mr. Cain appears to know darn, near nothing?

As the Republican agenda is so God awful I propose that is we do elect them let's make it the co-presidency people claimed Bill and Hillary had, and Bush and Cheney did have-Bush of course was the junior half. Let's make Cain in charge of foreign policy and Perry in charge of domestic. While their ideas are terrible they know so little they won't be able to do much harm. The Peter Principle applied to Republican Presidents.
Let's look at some of the things he has said:
At the interview in Milwaukee, after he was asked his thoughts on Mr. Obama’s handling of Libya, Mr. Cain leaned back and appeared to search for an answer: “O.K., Libya,” he said.
“President Obama supported the uprising, correct?” he said. “President Obama called for the removal of Qaddafi — just want to make sure we’re talking about the same thing before I say ‘Yes, I agree,’ or ‘No, I didn’t agree.’ ”
Mr. Cain said he disagreed with the president’s approach “for the following reasons” — then changed course.
“Nope, that’s a different one,” he said. “I’ve got to go back and see.”
He added: “I’ve got all this stuff twirling around in my head.”
"His comments about Libya came after a string of other provocative remarks about foreign policy and related issues."
"Those include a statement published Monday in which Mr. Cain suggested that most American Muslims are extremists; a contradictory answer about waterboarding during a Republican presidential primary debate on Saturday focusing on foreign policy; and his statement that if Al Qaeda or another terrorist group demanded, he would consider authorizing the release of every detainee at Guantánamo Bay in return for the release of one American soldier."
See that's what I mean about the Peter Principle-promote him to the area where he can do the least damage: Foreign policy(I may be mixing up the Peter Principle with the Dilbert Principle). That Cain is a Muslim hating bigot is not news, however, that he would actually be willing to return every detainee at Guantanamo Bay for any reason is certainly news.
