Elizabeth Warren Rips into Jeb's 'Failing Campaign'

I know a lot of people love Elizabeth Warren and I like her too, though for me, Hillary is more my cup of tea. Certainly I like Warren but I'd call myself a Hillary Clinton Democrat before an Elizabeth Warren Democrat-though if I still lived in Massachusetts, no doubt I'd vote for Warren every time.

But her latest comments are warming me up to her. Right now I'm loving me some Elizabeth Warren.

"Sen. Elizabeth Warren on Friday ripped into both Jeb Bush and Hank Greenberg, the former CEO of AIG who recently donated $10 million to the super PAC supporting what she called Bush's "dying presidential campaign."

"Not sure what’s more disgusting: That Jeb is pinning his 2016 hopes on his bro’s bailout $, or that bailed-out CEOs want to buy elections," the Massachusetts Democrat wrote in one of the messages posted shortly after noon to Twitter, remarking upon Greenberg's lawsuit against the Obama administration "because - get this - the bailout wasn't generous enough for him."

"Greenberg, she tweeted, left AIG before the bailout hit but not before running it "as it recklessly gambled on mortgage-backed securities."

"Following his time as governor of Florida, Bush served as an adviser to Lehman Brothers, which collapsed in 2008 under the weight of the global financial crisis. According to filings, Bush received $2 million per year through 2014 to serve as an adviser for Barclays, the institution that brought Lehman Brothers out of bankruptcy."

Speaking of Lehman Brothers, remember that time when Trump cut Kaisch off at the knees over his time as 'chairman at Lehman Brothers' Jeb also has a Lehman Brothers connection.

The sad thing is that Jeb is bragging about this donation while Greenberg is distancing himself from it. He is the one who feels it compromises his reputation.

"In an exclusive interview with FOX Business, Greenberg, the former CEO of insurance giant American International Group, sought to clarify reports that he personally made a contribution to Bush’s PAC, Right to Rise USA."

"He told FOX Business that the contribution was not a personal one, but one made by the company he controls, CV Starr."

“I didn’t make the contribution, the company did,” Greenberg said in an interview with FOX Business. “I like Jeb Bush. I’m sorry he is not living up to expectations, but that’s the reality of it.”

"While Hank is clearly annoyed to feel that he has squandered a fortune on a presidential campaign that he could have easily used on platinum collars for Snowball Greenberg, he should maybe take it down a notch in public."

"The only way to make his $10 million feel like even more of a waste is if JEB! gets further bullied and trounced in the primary. If Greenberg keeps whining to the press, some of JEB!’s antagonists might take advantage…"

That's a good point. Wouldn't it be terrible if an opponent of Jeb took advantage of Greenberg's words? Too late. Very quickly after Donald Trump tweeted:

"Hank Greenberg, formerly of AIG, gave $10 million to the @JebBush campaign 3 months ago. He is not happy, a total waste of money!"
Meanwhile Jeb is now the most unlliked GOP candidate.

Notice how high Nate Silver only talked about high unfavorables when Trump's unfavorables were high?
