Hillary Puts John Dickerson in His Place

His questions to her are always so unfailingly hostile. Today he asked about five email questions-as if voters care a fig about this Koch funded conspiracy.

He brought up Bill's affairs again. You see the relish has has in talking about it. She did a great job of shutting it down. She said the GOP can run on Bill's sex life again-but it's never worked before. She said she won't let Trump or any other GOPer ignore the problem of stagnant wages or push back the progress of women with Planned Parenthood.

Then Dickerson did something he did back at the Dem debate CBS hosted in November last year. He acted as if Bernie Sanders is somehow above any criticism of guns because he said he supports the President's current plan.

He said why can't Bernie change his mind on guns like HRC says she did on finance reform.

She had a real great answer for him. She points out that even if she has had donations from Wall St. banks, no one can point to any vote she has taken where her vote was bought. Where are the votes she cast for the banks. She pointed out that she was very critical of the use of derivatives since 2007.

She has a financial reform bill that is much better targeted than Bernie's one note 'break up the big banks' stump speech.

As for Bernie, it's not just about the past with him. When he tries to attack HRC on the Iraq vote or her husband's vote on Doma this is nothing more than just belaboring the past.

But on guns it's not just the past. Financial reform don't equal gun control as HRC has a strong record on financial reform and has a strong plan to deal with financial risk.

Bernie has a terrible record on guns-Andy Parker's word; he lost a daughter to a crazed gunman at her job at a Virginia news station.

"In a New York Times op-ed today, President Obama noted that gun safety is a voting issue for him and should be for everyone. He wrote: “I will not campaign for, vote for or support any candidate, even in my own party, who does not support common-sense gun reform.” In the presidential primary, Democrats have a real choice because standing up to the gun lobby is a real difference between Hillary Clinton and Sen. Bernie Sanders."

"Sen. Sanders’s campaign is misrepresenting his record on guns when it claims there is “zero daylight” between Sanders and President Obama on gun safety: "On that last measure, in his op-ed the President restated his support for holding gun manufacturers accountable for their actions – a measure that Hillary Clinton has long supported, from voting to do so in the Senate alongside then-Sen. Obama to affirming her support during this campaign in her plan to tackle gun violence. The bill Sanders supported has made it harder for families across the country who have lost their loved ones to gun violence to bring lawsuits against irresponsible gun manufacturers and dealers."

"And Sanders has continued to defend his vote, refusing to support legislation to take away immunity for gun-makers."

So as Dickerson is ignorant let's enlighten him. It's not just beating up Bernie on the past-as he is always trying to do to Hillary with his 'I was progressive first' trick.

It's rather that he continues to stand by a truly awful vote-giving immunity to gun-makers. Can you imagine any other industry getting such blanket immunity? What if automakers had blanket immunity?

But the cherry on top is that whenever there is yet another mass shooting we get:

1. Praying GOPers.

2. Bernie telling us not to shout. This from a guy who is always shouting.
