"Referring to Ryan’s plan to overhaul Medicare, which Democrats are planning to brandish as a campaign weapon, Romney painted the Romney choice as a promise of a more substantive campaign from the Romney-Ryan ticket."
"“He doesn’t demonize his opponents. He appeals to the better angels of our nature.”
“There are a lot of people in the other party who might disagree with Paul Ryan. I don’t know anybody who doesn’t respect his character and judgment,” Romney added. “We’re offering a positive governing agenda that will lead to economic growth.”
"The campaign reported an immediate bump in fundraising after announcing Ryan as the vice presidential nominee. Campaign spokesperson Andrea Saul tweeted that the campaign raised more than $1.2 million in the four hours after the announcement."
"After mistakenly referring to Ryan as the “next president of the United States,” the 42-year-old Ryan, without a tie and in a white dress shirt and jacket, came bounding down the steps of the same aircraft carrier, and thanked Romney for the opportunity."
“Every now and again, I’m known to make a mistake. I did not mistake with this guy,” Romney corrected himself, laughing.

Let's put it this way. The policy debate from now on won't be called the "Romney budget."
