Scott Walker Underscores the Point of His Lack of Foreign Policy Knowledge

This morning former Defense Secretary Robert Gates pointed out that none of the GOP candidates have any foreign policy experience.

After this Governor Walker was asked about this. His very answer makes the point. He claims that it doesn't matter about experience as the great Reagan also had no experience look how great he was on foreign policy.

Of course, this remains an open question-just how great he was. Still, while I was never a great Reagan fan, it must be admitted that while he like Walker was a Governor when he ran for President he had a lot more substantively to say about foreign policy than Walker does.

Walker claims that the most significant foreign policy event of his life time was Reagan bullying the striking air traffic controllers.

This answer tells us 2 things about Walker:

      1. He really hates unions and has a desire to beat them down that is down right sadomasochistic

      2. He knows absolutely nothing about foreign policy. Because whether you admire Reagan's union busting or not it had absolutely nothing to do with foreign policy.

As Vox points out he loves Reagan more than seems humanly possible. But for all that love he seems to know little about Reagan's actual foreign policy-otherwise why cite a piece of his domestic policy as his greatest foreign policy moment?

Why not demanding that Gorbachev 'Tear down that wall!'
