GOP Repeal Obamacare Obsession Turns 40 Today

Here we go again. It's the day before a 5 week Summer recess for Congress. They've failed to end the sequester and failed to pass a farm bill, failed to even pass a transportation bill, so what doe the House GOP spend it's last day before 'vacation?'

Why they voted to repeal Obamacare-again. There's time well spent. The Grand Old Party, the party of Lynching  Rush Limbaugh whose favorite President was the 40th one-actually Reagan was the 39th but everyone always mistakenly calls him the 40th as they count Grover Cleveland's two discontinuous terms twice-votes to repeal Obamacare for the 40th time.

By the way when I say that the GOP is the party of Lynching-not Lincoln-I mean it. Charlie Rangel made this point beautifully today.

The Tea Party is the 'same ole crackers' as the Congressman says they are-after all, is the Tea Party not right now blocking the Voting Rights Act from being passed with the new instructions the crackers on the SJC-look Clarence Thomas is the biggest cracker of them all-said the VRA needed?

So these 40 quixotic bills are also 40 times the GOP has stolen from the American people, wasting its time and money-all they do is steal the precious resources of the people! Every time they waste time on razzng Obamacare again they are giving up the chance to do something actually important. I mean it's not if there aren't enough productive things they could be doing before their 'vacation.'

I mean how is it a vacation? They never do anything when they're here anyway. I mean the 1948 GOP Congress that Harry Truman ran against was a bunch of Type A driven go-getters compared with John Boner's worth nothing Congress.

So yet another day the House GOP has failed to do its job-the 40th time they've wasted our time 'repealing' Obamacare. Now it can go on 'vacation.'

Meanwhile, there are plenty of Republicans who get that Obamacare really is settled law.

    House Republican Tom Cole:

“Seems to me there’s appropriate ways to deal with the law, but shutting down the government to get your way over an unrelated piece of legislation is political equivalent of throwing a temper tantrum,” he said Wednesday on Fox News. “It’s just not helpful. And it is the sort of thing that creates a backlash and could cost the Republicans the majority in the House, which is after all the last line of defense against the president. And it could materially undercut the ability of the Republicans in the Senate to have the majority in 2014 which they have a decent chance to do.”

"Cole made the same point to National Review in an article published Thursday."
“I don’t think you ought to try to blackmail the administration on a fight that they won politically in the House, the Senate, and the Supreme Court by threatening to shut down the government,” he said.
Cole there was speaking about the GOP idea being floated around to make the next debt ceiling hike contingent on repealing Obamacare. However, as we can all admit that it's the law of the land-thanks to wining in the House, Senate and SJC as Cole says can we maybe find something more worthwhile to do with the House' time than yet another Quixotic  Obamacare repeal bill? At this point, making water balloon animals would be more worthwhilele.

UPDATE: I just noticed Huffington Post has a great piece about Obama repeal dementia-40th time's a charm!
